Supporting Mental Health Awareness Week

Across the UK, 12.5 million working days were lost last year due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety; with 18-39 year-olds particularly feeling the stress at work. Research also shows that two-thirds of us experience mental health problems at some point in our lifetimes, and stress is a leading factor in this.

To help support Mental Health Awareness Week at OMD UK, the OMD UK Employee Council has arranged for a number sessions and initiatives to take place that will help provide our people with the tools they need to manage a healthy work-life balance and to normalise the conversation around mental health.

Our team will get to unwind with a free office yoga session, helping them to relax both their body and mind. On Thursday, we’re teaming up with Nutritionist, Nic Shubrook, who is going to talk to us about the mental benefits of having a healthy diet and thinking more about the food that we eat. We’ll then finish the week off by having LADBible in the office for a panel discussion, alongside the award-winning businesswoman and mental health blogger, Natasha Benjamin.

There’s also plenty more going on across the next few days, which you’ll be able to see via our Twitter channel.
