It’s all smiles at OMD Towers today following our win at yesterday’s Thinkbox Planning Awards. Against some tough competition, we are delighted to have won “Best newcomer to TV” for the brilliant SSE brand launch.
This award means so much to us, especially for such a game-changing campaign that put SSE on the map throughout the UK. It might now be a household name, but only one in four people had heard of them in 2013!
Maya the orang-utan changed all that and the planning behind the stunning TV campaign was meticulous and innovative. The launch was even synchronised with a world-first, time-sensitive homepage takeover on YouTube and Microsoft.
There were some fantastic comments from the judges and we’re excited to continue to work with SSE to make more brilliant advertising.
